I always have a great experience here. The selection, prices, staff, and vibes are always on point. Michael knows his stuff and can break down the science of anything in the store, and Wes is always helpful and friendly! 1136 Yuma is quickly becoming a staple in my routine. Been going here for three years and it has been great up until tonight. I went in there and was in for literally one minute before the budtender became very rude and kind of threatening for no reason. She had items off the shelves and in open boxes right next to the customer entrance. The brand that I wanted happened to be in one of these boxes; she walked me over to one of the boxes and we were looking through the flavors. I reached and grabbed one of the items, and after the third item I grabbed to look at, only then did she notify me that it was against the law for me to grab the merchandise myself (she was standing a few inches next to me the whole time and could have alerted me after i grabbed the first item) and I vehemently apologized and immediately dropped the item— I didn’t know, as I am still relatively new to Colorado and I don’t work in the cannabis industry. I thought that would be the end of it until the budtender decided to escalate the situation. After I put the merchandise down and apologized, she glared at me and said, and I quote, “I don’t know why so many people are testing my patience tonight. Sorry— but a lot of people have been breaking the law tonight with touching merchandise. Anyway, you need to hurry up and decide what you want.” After this rude and uncalled for comment, I asked for my ID back and promptly left to go to another dispensary with more professional staff. I’m super disappointed by my experience tonight. Yuma usually has fantastic staff but tonight was a flop. All I did was say hi and look through flavors of the brand I already knew I wanted. I did not deserve for her to speak to me as if I and other customers are criminals for not knowing cannabis laws, say that I and other customers are “testing her patience” and that I have to “hurry up and decide what I want”, as if I’m wasting her time by being a customer. I was in there for literally two minutes total, and things would have gone quicker had she decided not to complain to me, a total stranger and customer, about other customers and explicitly threaten that customers (presumably me included) are “testing her patience.” Really sucky experience :/ I just wanted a vape man 😭 – Aissa
