This place sucks. The lady running the store was obviously ready to go home. Which is fine. Everyone’s been there. But she must’ve been having a BAD day. Rude, not helpful at all. Extra fees on top of extra fees. Not ever coming back. And I liked Starbuds a lot :( – Keith Sobnosky

Handicapped disabled veteran here… this morning I went to my old favorite spot we used to go to for years. I went early due to spinal and nerve injuries, and since I can’t stand for very long. When I arrived, I had issues parking in the ADA spot and parked across the street (this was on me as I was in a larger VIC than used to). A woman cut me off to go in front of me in line even though I parked and got out first. Once I was all scanned in and got to the back, the rude woman who cut me off decided to be a chatty Cathy and talk to the budtender about all things in life. She had a big order and knew I was struggling as she side eyed me but kept talking to further the interaction. It was clear I was struggling (you can check the camera – I was there around 0800-0830). There was only one employee on the clock – where there used to be 2-3 when I was a long term regular. This is when I had to ask for a stool because I couldn’t stand any longer and accidentally fell into the counter a bit. Things got a bit unprofessional at this point, as the the budtender proceeded to tell a whole life story about having the cops called on her yesterday to the woman who cut me off with the large order. When it was finally my turn to the counter (I only came in for one thing), the employee was short with me, did not answer my questions appropriately or kindly. Treated me differently than the other client she was rattling on to. She didn’t ask for my number in the system (I have a long term loyalty account with Starbuds) and told me they don’t do military discount because the company had been bought out by a major corporation… I said, “are you sure because I’m pretty sure they do”. Then she remembered there is a discount and added it. It was a nightmare experience, and we will not be back and will no longer recommend this location to others as we always have. I recommend hiring employees that can keep their home life (police experiences etc.) out of their work life. Who treat people (including ones with disabilities) with respect, and consideration when there is a line. Additionally, having a seat of some kind for ADA folks while we wait would be a kindness. Some of us aren’t here for recreation drugs, but here to get much needed help after life altering active duty injuries. – Destiny Chase
