Super chill environment, spacious store, great selection and very helpful staff. They have a very nice library section with some really cool books. One of the interactive and fun offerings is the "Nug Smasher". With this heated press you can extract some amazing resins from your flower. editing my review for more detail: if you want cheap crappy weed that’ll just get you high, then turn around— shady grove promises a much better quality (at a bit higher price, but tax is included!) shady grove may not have the widest selection but you can leave there with no doubt you are getting a quality product. they pride themselves on making their dispensary a home for locally grown/wny flower and they know how to pick it! they offer a wonderful 10% student + veterans discount and occasionally offer very reasonable discounted product bundles so there’s something for everyone’s price range. the staff are incredibly personable and kind and radiate cannabis wisdom and passion! each employee has their own little weed niche that i find endearing in a way. ryan likes the good skunky and dank stuff, miles knows what’s up with pre-rolls, and the owners wife (i am so sorry i am blanking on her name) is super knowledgeable on using cannabis and hemp for more medical and pain relief purposes. sometimes i come here just for a good conversation (they have a little seating area with a weed library of books you can buy) and giving them your loyalty means they’ll never forget you. shady grove feels like my weed home. thank you shady grove!!! – Rory F

Update. After being completely mislead about a "event" I no longer trust this establishment. Typical high pitched sales tactics and complete misrepresentation. I will never shop this store again. It is a complete buzz kill. – Justin Crouch

Weed is being treated like a luxury good here, and if it actually were one, this store would make a lot of sense. But it isn’t. Because of that, I can’t justify paying these prices. 💸😵 That’s not unique to this shop, and it’s not really their fault either — from what I can tell, this is simply how pricing looks at state-licensed stores in New York right now. Still, if you’re coming from the West Coast, especially Oregon or Washington like I am, be prepared to do a double take and probably call your friends back home to beg them to send you a care package. – Benjamin Greene
