MedMen LAX

So my first time going in was a terrible experience. I work retail so I'm pretty understanding when I go into any establishment but the vibes were off the moment I stepped onto the sales floor. There was a guy, older white man, who walked ahead of me who was greeted with cheer, felt more like familiarity. I, early 30s black women, walked in looking somewhat confused but eager to be there and was met with a strange look from 2 of the older male cashiers and the security in the back of the store. I searched their website because I was looking for a specific product, at which time I looked up and was being stared down by security as if I was a criminal. I put it aside and started to walk around to see if someone could help, I locked eyes and raised my hand at one of the older male cashiers and he rushed to the backroom and closed the door. The security in the back looked at me again, while I was waving my hand, then walked away. The security guard sitting at the front of the store saw the interaction and waved me over to see if I needed help. I found the section I was looking for, found the product and was met with a $5 upcharge paying cash. I asked the female cashier if they usually have attendants that help with first timers if they don't real know they're way around, she said yes and I nodded and said thank you and left. I've never felt so oddly profiles and overlooked at the same time. It has an unsettling proud boys energy to the place and honestly I can tell when something isn't meant for me. Maybe I'm not the crowd they cater to. – loladior1

1st off, I was completely impressed w/their professionalism & customer service when I walked into their store. Ariel greeted me w/ a big smile & asked me what brought me into their store. I explained to her that I’m in town for work & was just looking for something to keep me occupied. Ariels’ attention to detail & explanation of how each product is different & what kind of feeling you’ll be in is very helpful. The team was professional, efficient, & exceeded my expectations. Joe was such a nice guy. He dropped me off to my house after picking up my car. He didn’t even charge me since it was close by but it saved me at least an Uber ride and waiting. Great service! – Mikesh Vora
