I was a frequent customer, and brought 2 other folks in. We all dropped a decent amount every week. I bought a vape battery. It made it 1/2 way through a cart and stopped working. It was pricey, but the shape worked better with my arthritis. I was told that because I had used it…this is a battery, not a disposable vape mind you, that they wouldn’t take it back…I’m bummed, but nope. I told the two folks who had started shopping there about what happened, and now we all carpool to Bernardston,MA. Way way better prices, great staff. – Gina chase-pinkney

They have a questionably-legal policy that "rounds up" your change and calls it a service charge. I was prepared with exact change for the 20% tax. If you pay cash, they "round up" and do not give you your coin change back. I asked the manager why the extra charge, and he didn't know why aside from it being called a service charge, and said he was tired of "explaining it to people". But can you actually explain this policy? There's a penny shortage but not a general coin shortage. You're across the street from a bank. It's not about my fifty cents but the cumulative effect of pocketing what's undue and why you're doing that to the nice people of Vermont. Would you pinch the eighths? – John

This is a nice store that has a ton of products but the service is terrible. I’ve never walked into a dispensary and just had zero help from the bud tender. It was my second visit and I don’t think I will ever go back there. The bud tender makes you feel like you’re bothering her by asking questions that she doesn’t have answers to. Not a warm experience that made me want to come back. When you walk into Cannabis Maximus it’s such a warm greeting that makes you want to go back.I had the exact opposite experience at the leaf. – Kyle Davis
