Anyone who rated this place a one star must be a competitor. This place was nothing short of amazing. Go in and ask for Chris R. I guarantee you won't leave disappointed. Coming from Boston and being in the music industry, I’m constantly surrounded by top-notch weed and trending strains. One of the things that bothers me most is when I have to travel out of town for work and then have to find weed, hoping someone can match what I’m looking for based on my description and strain names. You’d be surprised how many professionals have failed me, seemingly clueless about what they’re talking about. Being able to talk with Chris and have a clear, straight conversation about THC levels, turps, gas notes, candy flavors, and earth tones was incredibly refreshing. It’s been a while since I’ve talked to someone who works at a marijuana facility and actually knows what they’re talking about. Chris directed me to a specific strain of weed that, honestly, I wouldn’t have chosen based on the name and visuals. He basically said, "Bro, trust me, I got you. I understand what you’re looking for. Just trust me." So I did, and I’m really glad I did. This is exactly the flavor, density, and quality I wish was always available to me on the road, in every state. The issue is, the weed is probably accessible in every state, but unless you understand the culture and have knowledge, you might as well be speaking a foreign language. Everyone else will just give you what catches the eye and has the highest THC. KLUTCH Cannabis is lucky to have an employee like Chris. The staff and management should constantly discuss the culture and work with Chris to familiarize themselves with the lingo and consumer interpretations of what the products really are. I left as a happy customer and will be back soon. Thanks again, Chris—appreciate it, my man. – J.M. MEARS
I’m from Boston, MA. In New England, we are spoiled when it comes to our options of weed. I’ve been in the music industry for over 15 years. I’m constantly around new trends and things that are introduced into hip-hop culture. Knowing your weed, your bud, your gas, your ZAA” Is something you quickly get familiar with whether you’re a weed smoker or not One of the things that I worry about the most, especially when traveling out of state is being able to access weed as I have back at home. I travel over 200 times a year. I’ve probably visited well over 500 different dispensaries between being on tour and filming state to state. There is nothing worse than walking into a dispensary and talking to people who work with weed and yet know nothing about weed. I’ve had so many people supposed experts, dispensary, owners, managers, etc. get engaged in a conversation with me and be totally lost. Have no clue what the hell I’m talking about. This is my fourth time in Cleveland, I’ve been to six different dispensaries. All dispensaries were clean and welcoming, but ‘Klutch cannabis’ was just different. The welcoming didn’t seem forced. It didn’t seem fake. It didn’t seem like they had to be nice. Everything felt organic and cordial. Without making this post longer than I already have with fine details, trust me when I tell you just go in and ask for (Chris. R.) That’s all you need to do…. The conversation I had with him about flavors, aromas, tarps, density, etc. was amazing. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve talked to Bud professionals, who can’t seem to describe their earth, notes, gas, notes, or flavors to make it relatable and understandable. Talking with Chris was like having a conversation inside my own head. He knew exactly the flavors that I wanted. Which is always a hit or miss because you’re trusting somebody else’s taste and nose And hoping that they are matching what they’ve experienced with your description. Without even hesitation, I explained to him what I smoke back home and what I prefer he instantly brought me to a name I would have never looked at never looked at twice, or even wanted to try it. He said just trust me I understand what you’re looking for and this is what you want I promise. I’ll be honest, I never had so much doubt in my life because it seems like every time a Bud tender tells me they know what I’m talking about and to trust them as they guide me. It always winds up being the shittiest choice possible. Imagine the relief that came over me when I was able to get to my vehicle and pop the bag and smell exactly what I wanted to be smelling. For me, this is equivalent to just going out of town and having a one-night stand with a smoke show lol. It is so hard to find people who know what they’re actually talking about rather than trying to factuate their own opinions. So being stuck out here for work for the next month will be a breeze now that I know I have the quality and resources I need to get the job done lol. Chris, you are the man I appreciate your help. Note to all: Stop playing guessing games with your weed and deal with people that have an understanding for what you’re looking for. I’m so sick of the mystery flavors are all the hype behind a THC numbers and fancy bags. True connoisseurs will appreciate who I am directing them to. Great job KLUTCH cannabis Even better job by Chris. R. @HushSoundreal FB Real Weedview. No bots or fakes. – TRACKGIANTZ
The core difference between OG Kush and the broader Kush story is that "Kush" refers to a family of landrace strains originating from the Hindu Kush mountain range, while OG Kush is a specific, modern, Californian hybrid cultivar that popularized the name in the US market during the 1990s. While all OG Kush carries some "Kush" genetics, not all Kush is OG Kush. OG Kush was created to distinguish a specific, highly potent, and aromatic clone-only strain from other "Kush" imitators circulating in the 1990s. Here is a breakdown of the differences and stories: 1. The "Kush" Story (Landrace Roots) Origin: "Kush" strains are landrace plants originating from the Hindu Kush mountain range (spanning parts of Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India). Characteristics: These are typically pure Indica plants, known for their short, thick stature, rapid flowering times, and, often, a purple hue. They are known for providing deep physical relaxation. Legacy: They have been used for centuries to produce hashish and have been integral to cannabis breeding since the 1960s and 70s, when they were brought to the West. 2. The "OG Kush" Story (California Hybrid) Origin: Contrary to popular belief, OG Kush is generally believed to have originated in Florida in the early 1990s, when a grower known as "Bubba" found a unique plant in a bag of "Kush" (likely a hybrid of Chemdawg and a Hindu Kush phenotype). The Name "OG": When this special cut arrived in Los Angeles around 1996, the demand grew so high that "Kush" became a slang term for "good weed". To differentiate their specific, top-shelf, potent product from the fakes, growers called it "Original Gangster" or "Original Grower" (OG) Kush. Characteristics: Unlike pure landrace Kush, OG Kush is an indica-dominant hybrid (roughly 75% indica). It is famous for a unique, pungent pine-diesel aroma, high THC content (20–25%), and a more balanced, high-intensity effect rather than pure sedation. Summary of Differences Feature Kush (Landrace/Family) OG Kush (Strain) Origin Hindu Kush Mountains (Asia) Florida/California (1990s) Type Pure Indica (Landrace) Indica-dominant Hybrid Genetics Pure Hindu Kush Chemdawg x Lemon Thai x Hindu Kush Aroma Earthy, Hashy, Spicy Pine, Citrus, Fuel/Diesel Meaning of "OG" N/A "Original" or "Original Gangster" Key Takeaways OG = Original: The "OG" was added specifically to distinguish this strain from other "Kush" strains and to indicate it was the authentic, original clone from the early LA scene. Genetics: OG Kush is a blend of Chemdawg, Lemon Thai, and a Hindu Kush, making it more complex than a traditional Landrace Kush. Popularity: OG Kush is the parent strain to many, including Girl Scout Cookies, Bubba Kush, and SFV OG. You're welcome -R. TAY – Bushwick Bill
