I had an exceptional experience at Surf City Original! Hands down my new favorite spot, the selection is incredible – so much clean high quality EVEN WELL PRICED and locally grown green! And deeply educated budtenders. I believe I was speaking with one of the Owners and he gave me great education and actually knew exactly the kind of experience I was looking for. I got spot on suggestions! and I’m loving it! Such great deals on actually great stuff! 🙌 I’d HIGHLY recommend this spot to anyone. Been to dispensaries all over California literally. This spot was terribly small and definitely was sketchy. My wife went in and while I waited for her. The staff kept wandering around looking paranoid about either where I was parked waiting for my wife or someone else. But they seemed on edge and sketchy. The wife explained the prices also. For what it's worth . You definitely can find better prices and fresher product everywhere else then here. We are gonna head over to a real dispensary cannacruz down the street – Andrew Archuletta

Surf City Original by Flower Supply is easily one of the top two dispensaries I'd recommend in this beautiful forest-on-a-beach city of Santa Cruz. After visiting around ten different local dispensaries, I can confidently say this place stands out—not only for its exceptional selection of high-quality brands but also for prices so good, I've often left with three times the amount I'd find elsewhere for the same cost. Though I no longer use cannabis personally, I have immense respect and appreciation for this industry, and Surf City Original was my go-to spot for vapes and drinks. While I didn't purchase flower, everything I've seen here looks excellent. Vaping was my choice for convenience and discretion, especially as a parent wanting to avoid any lingering scent. For those new to vaping, I'd suggest starting with a lighter, lower-THC option, as the potency can be strong for beginners. Moreover, every staff member I've interacted with here has delivered exceptional service, always treating me like a valued friend. After meeting the owner, I understood why—their outstanding customer service clearly starts at the top. He's the gold standard in customer care, and it shows in every interaction with his team. Update: I originally left a 4-star review for some confusion regarding the gift with debit purchase. After not trying them for a minute, I decided to go back and was treated very WONDERFULLY, especially by the Owner of the store, who offered me additional free gifts and apologized for the confusion. It's nice to see people in the community who want to make sure that you have a good experience and feel comfortable in their establishments. Mistakes happen and I'm glad to say that the store seems to care very much. Staff is great and the products are typical. Also a dog hangs out there sometimes, if that's your thing. However, recently they changed their policies to be less customer friendly. Like they no longer give you a free item for overcharging on debit cards ($3.50 fee), and their new payment system doesn't allow you to adjust the tip amount. I think Treehouse had cheaper prices and is a better choice now. – Jamila Kareem
