Then to the counter, where the Master stood, The fastest hands in the neighborhood. With grace and precision, he battled the beep, Before the whole system went straight to sleep. The register clicked! The receipt began flowing! The 10:00 PM whistle was seconds from blowing. He rejoiced in the triumph, a beautiful sight, A retail miracle in the dead of the night.
