Ahh…my wife picked up for me & as soon as she described the person who helped her(I had asked as she mentioned his friendliness), I instantly knew who it was…Wesley is awesome! He has a knack of making you immediately feel welcome & at ease, something that us "anxiety people" appreciate VERY much. I am so glad one of my daughter's mentioned CBC to me. Always the best prices around coupled with the great staff(that's EVERYBODY- From parking lot, ID Check then the counter) I have had nothing but great experiences at this shop. – Speedy Tub

Stopped in at Commencement Bay and got helped by Zoe—what a human-being type of experience. Their card reader was down, and I only had enough cash to cover my pre-order. I usually always tip at least a buck, so I mentioned that to her. I thought I had a 10% reward to use, but I was actually a few points short (I apparently can’t read) Zoe took a quick look at my app, spotted a "$15 off $40" reward I didn’t even know I had, and applied it instead. That brought my total down to exactly what I had on me, so I could actually leave with more than I planned. I told her I still wanted to tip, and she was super cool about it—said not to worry and that she just wanted to help me get the most for my money. I ended up offering to tip her with a preroll instead, which she gladly accepted. Here’s the kicker: when I just got home, I saw she’d given me the exact amount of pre-rolls that came out to the total, so she didn’t take one for herself. Also noticed I had a 5% reward sitting in my app that I didn’t see.. (again, I can’t read) She definitely would’ve seen it when she was scrolling, but she never mentioned it, even though applying that would’ve gotten her a tip with no other intention behind just being a good person, because I offered the pre-roll after that interaction. As someone who works in hospitality management for a luxury property, I recognize five-star service when I see it. Zoe was thoughtful, quick, and completely genuine. If you want great service from someone who actually looks out for you, hope her register opens up, when you’re next in line! Oh and probably should mention, CB has a great variety of vendors and the prices are lower than other rec stores. Pair the daily deal with their already, well priced inventory! – Chef
