One of my favorite dispensaries in town. They sell high quality brands, so you know you are getting the good stuff. It is a pretty large sales floor which I didn't expect the first time I went in. You can take your time and look at all the options without feeling bad for the people in line behind you because they have individual menu screens to order from out on the sales floor. Once you submit your order you get in line at the registers. If you need help placing your order they always have someone readily available to answer any questions or guide you to the product you need. First and last visit to RISE.Check-in started off promising; security was friendly and I made it clear this was my first time there. From there, the experience went downhill fast. The self-serve ordering system dumped more than 160 preroll options on me with no meaningful way to filter out the $50 “top shelf” items I had zero interest in. For a first-time customer, it felt confusing and anything but user-friendly.When I finally got in line, a polite budtender helped me find what I needed and I completed my order. Then I had to get back in line to check out, where there was now only one budtender at the counter. I was first in queue, clearly waiting, when new customers walked in, got into another line, and were helped before me. After watching this happen, I finally asked if I was in the correct line.That’s when it went from frustrating to unacceptable. The budtender asked to see my ID again for no clear reason, then told me that online orders are the priority and I would have to wait until all online customers were checked out before they would help me. No apology, no explanation, just a shrug and “you’ll have to wait.”I chose to walk out without purchasing rather than reward that kind of treatment. I’ve never been to a dispensary or club so openly dismissive of an in-store, first-time customer. Being told I essentially didn’t matter compared to online orders was the deal breaker.
