I recently visited this dispensary, formerly known as Blue River Terps, specifically because of its reputation among concentrate enthusiasts. While the name has changed, the menu and product lineup appear to be largely the same. As someone who made the trip specifically for their highly regarded concentrates, I left with mixed feelings. The staff was friendly enough, though the gardener-style aprons felt a bit forced—almost like the uniform was trying harder than the store itself. The dispensary lacks much personality and feels more like walking into a bank than a premium cannabis destination. For a place with such a strong reputation in the concentrate space, I expected a more memorable atmosphere. I came for two products: the much-hyped Pioca and a hash rosin disposable. The Pioca presentation was excellent. It arrived in a well-designed box with stylish branding that immediately conveyed a premium experience. Blue River has done an impressive job marketing this product, and after hearing their explanations of the separation process, I was excited to try what is positioned as a top-tier solventless concentrate. The reality, though, didn't quite match the hype. Potency was certainly there, but flavor was inconsistent from session to session. At lower temperatures around 450°F, vapor production and terpene expression felt underwhelming. Increasing the temperature to 475°F helped, but I still found myself wanting a richer, more pronounced flavor profile. It's good—very good, even—but perhaps not quite as revolutionary as its reputation suggests. The real disappointment was the half-gram hash rosin disposable. At this price point, expectations should be high. The oil was extremely dark, flavor was minimal, and the device itself required considerable effort to get a satisfying draw, even after a full charge. For a premium solventless vape, it simply did not deliver. Overall, while Blue River's concentrates are undeniably well-branded and potent, the actual experience fell short of the premium price tag. Between the uninspired retail environment and the disappointing disposable, I can't justify making a return trip. – Peter M.
Always a pleasant experience when visiting this nice and spacious location. Dispensary is clean, staff is friendly and knowledgable, and menu is (as of the last 6 months) super on point. Love that they keep their hash rosin refrigerated, and that the house garden grows in organic soil and packages in glass. Fresh Connection is quickly becoming my new go to dispo. – Ashley Langly
The website clearly listed the price at $42.50 per gram, but when I went to purchase, the budtender informed me that price only applied if I bought ten grams. They were rude and unhelpful when I pointed out the website listing. In the end, I was charged $60 per gram out the door. Not a great experience. I expected better transparency on pricing from a big dispo. – Al Pantazis
This place isn't what it used to be. Such a shame to see a well-respected, awesome solventless only company with fire rosin get sold out to a mid tier company only selling overpriced mid-grade flower and disgusting BHO concentrates. Super disappointing. Haven't been here since August 2025. Menu looks like a mess too. Unorganized and information input is incomplete. Very sad to see what this business has become. – Cassie Foley
