What People Are Saying

I had an extremely disturbing and unsafe experience at the Culture House New York location at 958 6th Avenue on January 14 between 9:00–10:00 a.m. (Herald Square) Shortly after entering the store, a man I believed to be another customer rushed up behind me and grabbed my shoulder. I immediately told him not to touch me. He then demanded my ID, which I provided, only to later learn he was an employee. At no point did he identify himself, and I had just seen him outside on a cigarette break. A woman who identified herself as the **manager** then approached me with a hostile and mocking attitude—rolling her eyes and speaking in a derogatory tone. I calmly explained that I was fine and simply browsing. Instead of de-escalating, she became more aggressive. When I politely asked for a business card or corporate contact, she threw the cards toward my face while assisting another customer. The situation escalated quickly. Multiple staff members mocked, threatened, and berated me and other customers began joining in. A security guard then physically assaulted me by pushing me. Immediately after, the manager laughed and shouted, “You’re banned.” The entire interaction was humiliating, unsafe, and completely unprofessional. To make matters worse, staff openly discussed and disclosed my personal health information and my name to a random customer in the store without my consent**, which was deeply distressing and a serious violation of my privacy. I contacted the NYPD and filed a police report and sought medical care related to this incident. I have visited this location before without issue, but this experience was shocking and unacceptable. I would strongly caution others before shopping here.- BY FAR THE WORST SERVICE- – SHELDON STEPHENS

Thank you to Xena for her wonderful customer service! I was visiting NYC for my birthday, and of course we had to stop by the dispensary. Xena was the perfect budtender! informative, patient, and incredibly welcoming. Her warm smile and positive energy made the experience even more enjoyable. I always appreciate extraordinary service, and she truly went above and beyond. ♉️♋️💕♊️ – soy socials

Doorman ask for ID even if you go a lot of times and other places already STOPPed ask for ID. Long line and decline my card 4 times saying it doesn’t honor. Went around the bank and said it was fine, went back and worked this time. Wasted 1 hour transaction on this. They only accept debt which it doesn’t work as well. Do not go there , go to QUBE and others around is much better. They are racists when asking ID clearly shows immaturity. Also do not buy here because they charge a lot for sales and state sales tax as well. Additional $20 for everything. Go to queens to get bud no tax – Tzu-hsiang Tung

Glad I stopped by! Was pleased with the service here as well. Very Easy to order! Realistic prices! – Nurbo (NURBO)

I absolutely love the energy of this place. I’ve visited a lot of dispensaries, and none of them compare when it comes to quality, upkeep, and customer service. The weed is always top-tier, and the staff really know what they’re talking about. You can tell they care about what they’re selling and about the customer experience. I highly recommend checking this place out. – Cartier Moreau
