WORTHLESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why even have program at this point?!? Does anybody work here? I've sent about 3 emails and 4 messages through their new portal. NOBODY responds, nobody answers the phone, I've tried to call multiple times. I've been trying to get ahold of someone for about 3 weeks, my card expires in 3 days. Their AWESOME new portal is withholding my Dr certification and not allowing me to renew. The most GARBAGE program across the entire country… – Lauren Zessemos

When you call and select the option to report a dispensary, it redirects you to some random unrelated department. Then, when you get ahold of someone they give you the number of the ARKANSAS PUBLIC HEALTH DEPARTMENT. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? – K B

It is very hard to get a hold of people who work here. The hours they are open are far too few to support any type of REAL cannabis program for the years to come. I think they only have a few workers in total. I have been trying to figure out why my waiver has not gone through when I mailed it and emailed it over 9 days ago. The kicker….I have already had my card for a year…but the medicine I need rings up for 6 times the weight compared to what it actually weighs because the system the state uses is completely flawed. The only way to remedy this is to spend another $300 and drive all over the state for Dr. visits. All I want is to take my legal medicine for cancer, and the state drops the ball no matter how much money I throw at them. – Chad Buccini

Sad but very true that you can a get FOID Card 4x – 6x faster than a card to buy your herbal medicine. What a joke, nor am I laughing nor against gun owners. This state needs more workers in this department, and they can take up to three months to process your card regardless of how many applicants are ahead of your application. Also, they rarely answer phone calls, but they do answer them when they’re not bombarded with phone calls. Two stars for at least having a medical marijuana program in Illinois that doesn’t suck as bad as some unmentionable states that are beyond worse to imagine with what other people are going through to have a quality of life. Thank you Illinois and let’s hope it’s legalized soon on the state & federal level. – Main Compton

If ever there was a need for negative star/s reviews this is it. This mess is not deserving of a single star. Went to the clinic in Pekin and they were excellent. The Doctor was kind and compassionate and aside from being overwhelmed they were all awesome. They even helped me to complete the States application and get everything submitted on-line to a total tune of over $550 which I had to charge to a credit card resulting in even more hardship, pain and suffering for me. I was told the State would be trying to get provisional licenses out by January 31, 2019. As such I weened myself from my opioid pain meds at the end of January anticipating I would be able to get the concentrates I need from the dispensary I registered with after that time for the pain. I have an osteosarcoma diagnosis – bone cancer that is. 1/3 of my left pelvis was removed along with other margin tissue to include the actual removal of several specific muscles in the region. I was cut from belly button to spine for the final procedure and all that after 4 months of aggressive chemo trying to shrink the tumor – the chemo did nothing to help by the way. So January 31 comes and goes and nothing. Tried to reach out to the State office and they don't even bother answer the phone. You are left trying to e-mail them. After a couple e-mails they write back that my application "is still in the cart". I write back asking for clarification just what is meant by that and what they need from me. After being ignored by the State office again for over 2 weeks I called the clinic again last night and they said my provisional was available in my on-line account with the State, gave me my user name and password so I could log on and get the provisional card. I log on and the site says there is an issue with my account I have to correct and it states my e-mail is "not unique" whatever that is supposed to mean. I try a new email and eventually get to the spot where the provisional card is supposed to be but no such luck – nothing! Now this AM (on a Saturday at that) I finally get an e-mail from the State office after more than 2 weeks of waiting for them to clarify what was meant by "in the cart". The e-mail suggests I did not pay them their fee and that's why my application is "in the cart". The e-mail says now I have to send them my credit card statement showing the payment. So I get on-line figure out how to save my CC statement and have since e-mailed them my CC statement which clearly shows they billed my card the very same day of service (if you can really still try call it service) on January 10th when I visited the clinic and submitted the application. Now mind you all the while this is dragging out I am experiencing extreme pain. I tried to use OTC meds as an interim management strategy always thinking this would get resolved some day but still here I sit going between crying and just flat out suffering. I can't do this anymore and have given in and taken my opioids again. As such if this ever does get resolved I get to go through opioid withdrawal all over again. Now that's great fun for those who don't know what that feels like. Its a good thing I have a good primary care Dr. who will write me a script whenever I need it. This program has serious issues! The only thing they have managed to do so far is take my $ (which they managed to do instantly but then turned around and delayed my application trying to say they had not been paid) and exasperate my suffering!!! No matter, I am still grateful the State is trying to do the right thing by creating a medical cannabis program in the first place. They do have some serious bugs to work out though that is for sure!!! Until, they figure out how to efficiently provide a simple service I guess it's back to the hell that is opioid addiction. – Todd Moody
