What People Are Saying

I first visited this location of Higher Leaf on a whim, and it quickly became my go-to spot for about a year now! There’s always stellar deals going on, the rewards program stacks quickly, and the employees always have the best recommendations when I’m in need of some guidance. 🫶 All the employees I’ve interacted with here are lovely, but I have to give a huge shoutout to Celeste! Her bubbly energy and personable demeanor always makes me feel welcomed and I know I’ll be taken care of when she’s behind the counter 🤡 – Kittie House

Honest! Been a customer over 5 years now and they have been nothing but friendly, convenient, priced for all and for any occasions. they will always have a supply of lows, mids, and highs of flowers, vapes, joints, my personal favorite is the concentrate especially on the sunday deal! 7 grams with 30% off is undoubtedly the best deal I have found through Everett to Tacoma for non medical patients…guess what?! they provide medical patients with a fantastic selection of medical products. Don't forget to get a 100mg shot and a bath bomb and have yourself a relaxing night. – BrizzlSizzzl 55

I’m a big fan of this place and come here often, but what I don’t come here for is racism. I was talking about music with one of the clerks and then we started talking about rap music. She said and I quote. “ sadly nowadays more white people are showing up to rap concerts.” As if it is a negative that white people support certain artists. You want to know who doesn’t have a problem with it? The artists! I’m white and my jaw about hit the floor . I see no problem with white people or them spending their hard earned money to have some fun. If they want to go to a concert and support an artist, they’re more than welcome to just like anybody else. She said this about white people, but please replace that with any other race and then think about how you feel about it. It is disturbing to me that an employee on the clock is this comfortable just saying openly racist stuff to anyone but especially to people of the race she’s insulting. I would very much like to never deal with anything like this again at this store . – Alex

I literally just had the worst shopping experience ever at this location. I’ve never in my 28 years of life been openly profiled up until this moment. For context I drive a 1998 white Subaru with zero tints, I’m black and six foot one inches. I’m wearing blue jeans b&w vans, and a b&w crewneck. (like it matters). My girlfriend who’s from the UAE (like it matters) was in my passenger seat at the time. I pulled up and parked in front of the shop alongside the curb (not blocking the door or walkway in anyway). As I got buzzed in, I went straight to the ATM to withdraw cash for my purchase. As I’m at the ATM I hear an employee say that “she’s experiencing high anxiety due to the car parked in front of the shop” I hear this remark and turn around and ensure her that I’m leaving as soon as I make my purchase. As I’m walking to the counter the other employee asks if I’m okay which I don’t answer and tell her what I’m there for. As she grabs my order I hand her the cash and try to show her my I.D (which she doesn’t look at or even scan and tells me that I’m okay). As I grab my receipt and head back to my car and am about to drive off when another employee is seen pointing at me and is making gestures at my vehicle. I stop driving cause I’m under the impression shes trying to get my attention, she then speed walks out the shop and begins cursing and screaming at me. I step out of my vehicle and asked her to stop speaking to me in that manner and asked her what the issue is and she begins to tell me that I look as if I’m about to rob the store and that I’m parked in a place that I’m not supposed to be parked (which isn’t marked as such and wasn’t made apparent to me at the time of my purchase or when they all buzzed me into the shop initially). She continues to tell me that her and her three female colleagues feel extremely threatened and afraid of my presence and that I’m making them all feel as if I’m going to rob the store (despite already making my purchase and am outside of the shop near my vehicle). I then make it apparent that she just openly profiled me and that what she’s saying is extremely offensive. She then dismissed my comment and continued to shout at me and my girlfriend (whose in the car) cursing at us and screaming. During this entire time I never once raised my voice or called anyone out of their name. At this point it’s apparent to me that she’s not trying to have a civil conversation or gain any understanding and then begins to threaten me by telling me she’s going to call the cops and tell them I’m trying to rob the store. I tell her I did nothing wrong and that no one told me I couldnt park there when they all buzzed me into the shop. At this point I just walk away and return to my vehicle and drive off because she’s screaming not allowing me to speak and genuinely fear for my life cause she keeps mentioning calling the cops (despite doing nothing wrong). While I get back into my vehicle she’s still cursing and dropping f bombs at me and my girlfriend who remained in the passenger seat of my car the entire time. I think it’s unfortunate that this whole situation happened and that I was treated the way I was. I don’t think people who experience high anxiety or are so quick to profile people on their appearance should be public servants or employed within customer service professions. I do plan on following up with the store managers and owners of this establishment as with my lawyers on what transpired tonight. I really hope these people are held accountable and that something is done to ensure that something like this never happens again. I’ll never spend my hard earned money within this establishment ever again and am deeply saddened that my life was point into jeopardy because of how someone perceived me. – David T

Asked for concentrate, the Overall stock selection for my budget was eh. I left with a gram from dab for less / slo gro. I felt pretty excited with my purchase. Only downside was leaving the store with different products from what I confirmed for. Whether it was a miscommunication or miss heard moment it is what it is. I was hyped to leave the store grabbing triple burger although after leaving I noticed I was handed jet fuel Gelato. This small mishap in the store experience has me eh. Not sure if I left in a rush, didn't double confirm my order and or. For a $22 purchase it cool. The staff seemed cool. Didn't engage much to experience customer service. The vibe had me going " go in get my stuff and head out" not so much as a welcoming in we here to service you vibe. Uh either way long rant bye. I tried asking if slo gro was artisan because they look similar in packaging, although my question kinda went over people's head. So shrug. I'll maybe give it another experience in a couple months. – Webby Yaku
