Ivy Hall Dispensary - Bucktown

I happened to be in the area and decided to stop in, and this was my first time purchasing cannabis at a dispensary. From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming and immediately explained the check-in process, which was quick and easy. Once inside, the space is well organized and thoughtfully designed, with a wide variety of products clearly displayed. A team member took the time to walk me through how their ordering system works, helped me navigate the screens, and asked about my preferences before making a few recommendations without any pressure. On a return visit, I accidentally overfilled my cart, and a staff member caught it quickly and helped me adjust it with good humor, which made the whole interaction easy and stress-free. Checkout has always been smooth, with staff double-checking orders and explaining the payment process clearly. I was a little nervous my first time since I wasn’t familiar with how dispensaries work, but the experience ended up being very straightforward. I’ve been back several times since and consistently found the staff knowledgeable, attentive, and easy to work with. Chris was a great budtender, Right alongside his staff who were very attentive, I made sure to ask each of there name because they were all were ready to go best staff I’ve dealt with in a long time. He had great energy with me, I told him the kind of products I were interested in and he assisted me perfectly. Every budtender should carry themselves the way Chris and his staff did this day. One of the POS machines wasn’t working at checkout and the worker tried to force to me to go to their ATM and pay cash. Meanwhile, 4-5 customers behind me checked out electronically with the 4 other working POS machines while my guyr tried to get his machine working. I finally asked why I couldn’t simply check out with the one of the other 4 coworkers checking people out electronically. The idiot at the register said that wouldn’t be possible and again tried to force me to use the ATM and pay cash. He said checking out electronically with the other people wasn’t an option. At this point, I was now the only person in line and he said ATM/cash was my only option. This incompetence and lack of problem solving was egregious and almost seemed intentional. Frustrated, I walked out without making my purchase. After years of loyalty to IVy Hall, sadly, I don’t ever plan on going back. All it takes is 1 bad experience. Take note. – fzzylogic1
