This is my ultimate favorite shop in Tacoma !! They always have a HUGE selection of different products and their staff is so knowledgeable. You can tell them what strain , flavor or feeling you’re looking for , conditions to treat or guiding you on the multitude of different products . This is literally a one stop shop for all of your cannabis needs . I have been a loyal customer here for a for years now and never leave disappointed even when they are out of what I was looking for the staff always have a great recommendation that always does the trick . Local roots has seen me through some of the toughest seasons in my life , their kind caring , knowledgeable top shelf staff cannot be beat by competitors. Parking is easy with several spots near the door . Theres also food vendors in the parking lot at times and close to other shops to pick up munchies or do other errands . this is, in my opinion, the best dispensary in tacoma. i’ve been a regular for about three years now. the workers are always so kind and welcoming, absolutely wonderful to talk to and they have consistently recommended me good products, whether it’s the best hemp wraps to use or which lighter has the most butane. they are seriously awesome. very good atmosphere !! it’s also in a good spot that has several food spots near by, a small park up the hill, and it’s a few miles from point defiance/ruston. the 16 and 10 buses are very close so you can catch those if you don’t have a car. really good discounts on their website. – navi
It is profoundly disappointing to see such a prime location squandered by a staff that treats a retail floor like a police interrogation room. Customers seeking peace and a respectful, private experience are instead met with invasive, boundary-crossing questions. When I explicitly refused to disclose my personal plans to an associate ringing me up, they used my shutdown of “no plans” as an invitation to press harder—behavior directly enabled by a manager who dismissed my concerns via email as nothing more than the staff’s "many communication styles." It is insulting to be told by this store’s manager that I should have to police their employees' behavior by announcing when I am "not in the mood for conversation" just to be left alone. When I pushed back on this toxic excuse, management simply ghosted me, proving they have no interest in professional standards. I am not here to train your staff on basic social decency, nor should any customer have to sacrifice their dignity just to make a purchase. I will be happily driving an extra five minutes to a store with class that respects its patrons; if you value your peace, dignity and privacy, I suggest you do the same. – Maria Fletcher
